I've found a few new very good sites which are providing the fresh air of reason on all things Covid, especially Brownstone Institute - although I seem to remember you had issues with Jeffrey Tucker Linz? - and Epoch News.
Anyway, Brownstone published their summary today of a Nature Medicine Paper on the incidence of the often deadly myocarditis in particularly young men (up to 40 years of age). Note, women also, but this condition mainly affects young men and boys. Given Labour is already responsible for injuring many teens over 12 years old, fact, that they will begin vaccinating five to eleven year olds in this New Year is horrifying on the data below that more of these children will be injured by Pfizer, and killed, than by Covid, and that's Alpha and Delta, not the seemingly mild Omicron that no longer appears to do its damage at base of the lungs, but in the upper airways where normal colds do - ie, it's a cold. Note even Alpha and Delta are not troublesome to children, Alpha killed one in one million, compared to pre-Covid, when we had a slightly saner world, one in three hundred thousand children were killed by 'routine' influenza. It is now clear for men <40, dose two and dose three of Pfizer have more myocarditis than sars-cov-2 infection, and this is true for dose one and dose two of Moderna.
Pfizer boosters (Dose three) have more myocarditis for men <40 than infection.
Myocarditis post infection is more common as you get older, in contrast with myocarditis post vaccination, which is more common as you are younger (reverse gradients)But the truth is STILL WORSE than these data.
If the authors fixed the denominator for viral infection (i.e. used sero-prevalance), it would look even worse
If the authors separate men 16-24 from 12-15 and 25-40, it would likely look worst in 16-24 age group.But regardless, these findings already clearly dispel the true misinformation online: [snip] vaccines can have risks of myocarditis exceeding risks of myocarditis from infection.
I guess the point of this post is for human beings the ethical issues here around these damned mandates and the complete program of government coercion to take this unsafe vaccine with no long term safety profile because of no long term testing - remember it even missed the animal testing stage - is so easy.
A priori: there must be choice. First point.
But taking out philosophy as such, even if the risk of Pfizer was less than Covid, well obviously there must be choice: in this case if a parent chose not to vaccinate their child and that child died of Covid that would be tragic, but a sad result of choice. All is as it should be. But if the vaccination is mandated, and this government will say it's not, but oh yes it is because we unvaccinated are in so many ways excluded from society, and many tens of thousand from their livelihoods, then ethically the whole calculation changes as we now have a state mandated death; that is, a murder.
However, worse, we now have the data that shows the risk of Pfizer is more than Covid, given these children have less to fear from Covid than from pre-Covid influenza. And on that I am gobsmacked that government continues with it's brutal campaign to vaccinate everything that moves, including every child.
I do no understand.
I keep tweeting to David Seymour, wake up! Give us an opposition against Labour's totalitarianism, not an opposition arguing for even greater totalitarianism. But not only nothing, he has doubled down today on supporting mandates, as reported by a comment in a BFD story - sorry, I've lost the link.
So, that's my ACT vote gone for good I think. Effectively Pauline and I are social lepers anyway, so I'm not going to bother voting: Parliament is 100% unutterable evil.
But forget my voting pain: this government is about to kill or injure children. Fact.
Imagine if we had an actual fourth estate: it only needs one journalist not enthralled to be hanging off Ardern's skirts to ask on television in front of the New Zealand public either her or Chris Hipkins in a presser: 'the data shows that more young men (especially) will be injured by Pfizer than if they get Covid; why are we doing this roll out to children when you will be responsible for their harm, or heaven forbid, deaths? And in the face of this, because the risk equation is similar for adults, why do we have mandates? Why is any of this mass vaccination lunacy happening in the face of a virus, even before the mild Omicron, healthy people will in 99.8% of times survive. Why? What is the agenda here please, because none of this makes sense.'
But all we have from media is .... crickets.
As dark as all this is, I'll end on some good news. Three weeks ago stall holders started leaving the Motueka Farmers Market to set up their own Free Market in Richmond: unlike the Moteuaka Market which is observing the Traffic lights: masks, passports, etc, the Free Market is not observing the rules. By this stage over half the stalls have now moved to the Free Market. Pauline has just read a text from someone there and apparently there are thousands of people there enjoying being free like human beings, it's pumping. That's where hope lays.
Of course did the old market see this and realise the future was in freedom: liberalising their rules? Nope. All tyrannies rely on the snitch society: they rang Stuff. We'll see what happens. It's only an hour and a half drive for us, so we shall be going and supporting the Free Market as long as it exists.
