Here is a viewpoint from a Traditionalist that I came across. It deals with what is motivating the Left and why the Left is so desperate to suppress any white solidarity on the Right. I think this is one of the better viewpoints on the Left that I have seen. Its worthy of Auster. I'm going to post it and then briefly say how I think it has overlap with Rand's altruism thesis.

All of them--left wingers, Blacks, Chinese, even Jews-- act like whites are the most dangerous people on the planet because we are. We're the most capable, the most innovative, and the most systematically violent people on earth, and the reality of that is as plain as day.
In the last 500 years, Europeans and their descendants in North America pummeled the world into submission, and when we ran out of opponents we pummeled each other in the two biggest and baddest wars the world has ever seen. After that, when it was clear that we had the ability to destroy all human life, every post-war institution, western or Soviet, worked to keep whites from making war on each other again. We understand that Germany has been deliberately neutered, lest it make war again, but we don't usually understand that all the rest of the white nations have also been deliberately neutered for the same reason.
The great post-war project has been the deracination of whites via the elimination of nationalism in the first world, the construction of interdependent political and economic systems, and the moral burdening of white society. Yes, the elites personally benefit from this, but they feel justified because they're keeping whites (including themselves) on the leash, and thus preventing the apocalypse. There's a lot of complex moving parts in this system, and a mountain of self-deception and pious lies, but that's it in a nutshell; we've purposely hobbled ourselves so that we don't blow up the world. (The Jews, who are honestly terrified of goys, didn't start this program, but they've benefited from it greatly and helped push it forward for their own purposes.)
As for Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, et al: we allow ourselves to be bogged down fighting petty wars against semi-savages because that's part of the post-war hobbling. Does anyone doubt that if we really wanted to solve our Islamic terrorism problem we couldn't do it in a weekend? We solved the problem of having to invade Imperial Japan in a couple days in August of 1945 with piston engine planes and optical bomb sights. With the Arabs you wouldn't even need nukes. They're not Japanese. They can be brought around with an exemplary firebombing or two. Start with Riyadh.
That's what everyone knows at some level and everyone is terrified of, that whites suddenly regain the will to act in their own interest. And that's why Trump is spooking them all, because when the Saxon begins to hate, it's game over.

This is really good, especially the parts I bolded. Rand's thesis is that Kant did massive cultural damage in two ways. First he destroyed objectivity with his epistemological framework. This gradually destroyed the ability to have any objective standards anywhere. The second, which is an outgrowth of the first, is that Kant unleashed a deontological ethics that is even worse than old-school Christian altruism. Kant's Categorical Imperative, which has become the de facto moral framework for the entire Western world, has institutionalized a duty to the poor or have-nots. That used to be viewed in economic terms. Today it is viewed in racial and gender terms and it now applies to the non-European world. It is this phenomenon which is what "pathological altruism" really is.
But the above Trad quote gets into the actual application of Kant's CI. White Leftists have come to believe that any rejection of the altruist ethics will result in attempts at non-white extermination (especially of blacks) and possibly human extinction. Thus they feel that it is their moral imperative to suppress white non-liberals for the sake of humanity. I think this is true and it helps to explain why Leftists are so adamant about destroying their white conservative enemies. I also think it is what is pushing leftists to act for the elimination of the white race itself though non-white immigration and racial miscegenation.
The Left is a truly evil movement with very evil intentions. Objectivists do not understand this about the Left. Or if they do it is in a very sterile academic way; ie "D2 nihilists". There is so much that could have been done with Rand's philosophy as a base. I think the "new intellectuals" Rand spoke of could have provided the most powerful analysis of the cultural trends we are seeing, an analysis even deeper that from today's paleo-right. But alas, that is not to be. Listening to Brook, or Binswanger or any of them just induces sleep. But as I keep seeing, the alt / Trad right is probing the "metaphysics of the left" better than anyone else out there. Objectivists seem sterile and impotent by comparison.
