I know I'm onto a good thing when I click on a website like www.michaelwilkinson.com and am greeted with the sublime sounds of the opening of Beethoven's Emperor concerto! This man's sculpture is beyond beautiful. I'm not sure if he is of an Objectivist persuasion or not, but I would guess that he has absorbed deeply the power of Rand's Romantic Manifesto (arguably her most important book). It's the work of an inspired contemporary master. Michael made contact with me on my blog back in January regarding my essay on Hypatia of Alexandria. I viewed his work online and was just so incredibly impressed by his attention to universal beauty and form. Long live this kind of art... it is the only sort that actually counts! http://www.oliviapierson.org/b...
