A Special Message From the Welfare State
"Welcome, mafia! Welcome, organized crime! We are so glad to see and have you!
"This is our formal and official Golden Invitation to you to come to our nation and ruin it. Please set up shop here, and then corrupt our government and society. Please warp, degrade, and defile pretty much everything and everyone.
"Here in our semi-tyranny, or Welfare State, we mostly criminalize prostitution, drugs, and gambling. Many or most of our people actually want and need these three products and services, and it's absolutely none of the business of any of the others. But...we criminalize the PDG or "vice" industry anyway. This Welfare State policy takes our good and innocent people and converts many or most of them into crooks and lowlifes.
"Of course, we could have a normal, natural, healthy, happy, rational, sane, morally-good PDG industry. But we in the Welfare State prefer an abnormal, bizarre, diseased, miserable, irrational, insane, filthy, morally-depraved one. That way pretty much everyone and everything gets perverted and polluted -– even our personal attitudes and lifestyles. Even large parts of out sacred minds and souls. How glorious!
"By criminalizing "vice"–- by making a lot of harmless and wonderful fun illegal -– we can masterfully ruin vast swaths of our entire culture and nation. Essentially everyone becomes evil!
"So, come one, come all, all you mafiosos of the world, and set up your horrific versions of the PDG industry here! Yes, you'll have to sometimes dodge or deflect our dispirited and corrupted cops and judges. But, hey -– they're pretty easy to threaten, bribe, and evade!
"After all, just about everyone here in our evil Welfare State secretly knows that providers of prostitution, drugs, and gambling aren't really doing anything wrong. Not legally at least. Victimless "crimes" aren't crimes at all! Not under Natural Law and the Rights of Man. You mafia folks are just providing some greatly wanted and badly needed products and services. You organized crimers are just providing some greatly wanted and badly needed pleasure and joy to our massively unhappy people as they -– ironically enough -- suffer terribly under our liberty-crushing, choice-denying, adulthood-stunting, personally-corupting Welfare State. Under our infantilizing, violating Welfare State, we all basically become intelletually, morally, and spiritually bankrupt. So PDG activity is, ironically, a pretty good antidote to the poison of our semi-tyrannical state!
"And once you wonderful organized crime folks are set up here, well-organized, and highly profitable, why not soon expand your business into real crime too? Just call upon your natural entrepreneurial spirit and get to work taking over labor unions, and business regulatory agencies, so you can shake down, and profitably parasite off of, both workers and management.
"It's so natural! Crime is a part of life, you know. No need to get all worked up or feel guilty about it. And why not rob innocent businesses openly, such as by setting up "protection" rackets? And why not do outright kidnappings for ransom money or even rob a few banks? Go for it, mafia boys!
"After all, you've already corrupted and twisted our normal, healthy justice (ha-ha!) system with all your bribes to protect your legitimate and proper PDG activities. So why not use the same corrupted and twisted apparatus to escape real justice when you commit real crimes? It works!
"And there you go, guys. You can make a ton of money off prostitution, drugs, and gambling, plus a semi-ton of money off of other things too. Go for it!
"After all, we at the Welfare State are essentially inviting you friendly organized crime boys right in. Thru our horrific victimless "crime" laws we're practically begging you to massively corrupt, debauch, debilitate, and destroy our government and society. So go for it!"
